Ruxpin is a voice-first reading journal for iPhone. You're reading, a thought lands, and instead of losing it you pick up your phone and say it out loud. Ruxpin transcribes it, tags it, and files it under the book you're reading, so you can go back to the page. Over time the entries add up: a library of everything you've thought out loud about, a heatmap of where in each book your mind was busiest, and a portrait of you as a reader drawn only from your own words. It isn't an e-reader and it holds no book text. Made by Ted Kim, and named after his dog.

What we're not claiming
Ruxpin is new, and small. There are no user numbers to quote, no press coverage, no reader testimonials, no awards or rankings. If you ask for any of those we'll tell you the same thing rather than find you a flattering way to put it. Everything on this page and on the rest of the site describes something the app actually does today.
One more, since it comes up: the name is the dog. It has nothing to do with the toy.
