Sharing your record

You can turn your record into a card to post or send. It is made from your own numbers, and the card you get by default carries none of your writing.
Where to find it
Open the Reader tab and tap Share your record. It is there from your first day, whether or not your portrait has been written yet.
What is on the card
Two counts, and nothing else: how many thoughts you have captured, and how many sources you have captured against. Below them, the month you started reading with Ruxpin, and the address of the site.
That is the whole card. Not your entries, not your quotes, not the titles you are reading, not your name or email. If you have captured one thought about one book, the card says one thought and one source, because that is what is true.
Adding your portrait line
Once your portrait exists, tapping Share your record offers a choice:
- Just the numbers, the card described above.
- Include your portrait line, which adds your epigraph above the counts.
Your epigraph is the single line at the top of the Reader tab, written from your thoughts in the weekly impression. It is about your reading rather than a quote from any entry, but it is still drawn from what you wrote, so it only goes on a card when you pick that option. There is no setting that turns it on for every share.
If you pick it before your portrait has been written, Ruxpin says so and nothing is shared. Your portrait needs a few thoughts across more than one sitting first, and your reading vitals explains when it appears.
After you tap
The card is a tall one, the shape a phone screen is, so it fits a story without being cropped. Ruxpin makes it and hands it to the normal iOS share sheet, so where it goes is up to you. Messages, a note to yourself, a post, or nowhere at all. Closing the sheet without choosing anything shares nothing.
The card is made fresh each time, so it always shows your record as it stands, not as it stood the last time you shared.
